GPU still over-temping

@nigelmcelwee: It will definitively solve some of your issues but nevertheless, it is not normal that your GPU works 99% all time.
My 570 works at 40% above sea, above ground 70%-90% (all numbers as per GPU-Z) so, if you have 99% all time something is not right...

Now with SLI somewhat working (it is a fix, not an official solution) I start seeing GPU at 99% and temperatures going up to 88°C
I admit I got a bit worried....

(Did not have time to make a long test and see where the temperature stabilised)
EDIT: After some tests, my GPU temperature remains constant 88°C this is good enough and within specs so no worries.
But, if I open the case and the side fan does not push fresh air to the GPUs' fans, temp will jump above 93° immediately!
So streamlining the fresh air inside your case guys, especially if you run SLI or triple-SLI configurations will be something to cautiously watch guys!

Maybe not with the anomaly that is CoD, but without vsync the GPU should work at 100% to pump out as many frames per second possible.

The OP could try enabling Vsync to limit his FPS, that might give the GPU a break. Otherwise, take everyone's advice and your rig should look something like this:
