Hello Luthier

Happy VE day, anyone who has taken the time to study history in any detail will know the sacrifice of the Soviet Union during WWII was the greatest of any, and to the heroic people of that country, (not to Stalin who hindered his own soldiers) we owe a huge debt of gratitude for accomplishing the main role in the defeat of Nazism.

Thanks for your hard work on CLIFFS OF DOVER, we know the Sim will eventually be everything we hoped for.

I have to say though, that I am disappointed at the decision to make another Eastern Front Sim.

Oleg at one time said we would see the Mediterranean as the next theater for the STORM OF WAR series, and the Med is one of the locations which was never simulated in either IL-2 or ANY other sim. (except through some modded maps) I think it would be preferable to see something new.

The other area which has not been covered by IL-2 is the Battle of Germany, the 8th Air Force and RAF Strategic bombing campaigns during the day and at night. These have been done by other sims, but not successfully online.

I strongly disagree, and can't believe you wrote that Ilya. One has "a right to be angry" if he was forced at gun-point to buy this "half-finished game" in its present state. If purchaser had simply waited until middle of April, he would have had a clear picture of the state of CloD and saved his precious 50 bucks for something important like tap-dancing lessons or bus fare.

My congrats to all of you in Russia for the V-E anniversary. It was a very hard, very hard time for your people, but in the end victory was achieved. Thank you!

Please, not another russian front add-on, perhaps later. Balkans and North Africa would be much more appealing, but before that, make this fine out of tune sim fully flyable.

Best,

I bet some buyers made quite some sacrifices to buy this sim after following the development for years. Youngsters and some not well or hardly paid, some who bought new hardware in anticipation...

Knowing the former record of the developers, at the beginning there were not that many doubts.

Sure some here overreact but to be deeply disappointed about current matters I can easily understand, because I am ,too.

Happy VE-day!

This is a classic example of a subject more monarchical of the King .....

Hello baron. With respect, you really must be out of touch with the general feeling in the CoD community, that this release has been pretty much calamitous to date and the product does not work as advertised, along with many key features we were led to believe would be present being conspicuous by their absence. There is a lot of work to do.

As a paying customer, Langnasen has every right to express disappointment, even anger as I happen to know he forked out a lot of money for that system in order to play (he thought) it well. I spent a pretty penny myself solely for this sim, though nowhere near as much as him.

Ergo, to give Luthier credit at least he 'manned up' and they are doing something about it ; Langnasen's disappointment is probably typical of the silent majority, the vast majority of people do not even bother to express their opinions on forums, they will just tell their mates not to bother with this title unless it gets fixed. That is where we are, and I remain optimistic they will get there eventually. If not, then they can probably forget about any further custom from a lot of unhappy people. That's the way it is.

Luthier and co, thanks for the VE goodwishes and to quote Sir Winny.....KBO (keep buggering on).

Cheers.

Its simple, because you have 1000s of threads where you can cry about how angry you are.
But you choose this one thread that is about and event that is way more meaningfull that our gaming needs. And were the dev decided to give us a glimpse on the future of the series, wich will come when the engine is running steady of cuorse.

So will you grow up now?
