Today I forced my video card to run in 3d (not underclocked) mode instead of switching erratically from 2d/3d. It removed the stutters almost completely and made the game run much, much faster. Probably it won't be needed anymore after you introduce real full screen, but anyway I thought it may help some people before the new patch is released.
