I've had the same thing whilst flying a Spit IIa in the low level 110 intercept quick mission.

Although steam is showing the patch details my version of the game is still the previous version.

Is there a solution?
Open Steam, right-click on CoD, select properties, go to Local Files tab, click Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Yup, can confirm that. Happened to me already in the beta patch.

anyone....??
Exact same problem for me, was unable to fix it. Some people with older cards than mine (GTX460) seem tu run the game fine, looks like if it's a combination of XP+DX9+certain recent Nvidia cards+drivers ?? that cause the problem.

You can get Win 7 64 bit for 100 USD through newegg.com. OEM version, but it's pretty much the exact same OS, so vOV.

Hmmm...

more testing has, as soon as trees are set above Very Low the stutters return - to pre - patch levels.
memory usgae was 1024Mb
AA still gives a fps drop whem turned on ingame

we need a 64bit exe
the sim also needs an ingame Vsync similar to Heaven (Unigine)

does the sim use Ambient Occlusion? (the shadow flickering seems consistent with the shadow flickering in Heaven (Unigine)
