Default Land shading = high, no effect.

This is probably related to my vast number of other graphical glitches, I can't seem to get the terrain to go off low, no matter the setting I choose it never has any shading on it. Also the grass looks like thin lines and not actual grass, like little blurry rectangles sticking out of the ground.

(my other graphical glitches: no shadows in cockpit, when forest >v-low large green area in water that looks like grass, no self shading of the aircraft)

My system: Q8400 not overclocked, HD6870 1gb VRam, 4gb DDR2 ram 800MHz running win7 x64 ultimate.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Hmmm, I got it working... oddly enough.

Restarting did not help (mission, game, or computer)

but it seems these options only run in D3D10_0 (dx10) mode...? Thats a little harsh on winxp users isn't it? Glad I upgraded to win 7 to prepare for the game.
