Same here, money isn't an issue for me..

And I'm not gonna refund just to make a statement or because I'm annoyed at the developers..

You can't resell it due to Steam that some people supported with so much fervor, so i guess it servers them right

Ok, to be serious now, when i first got IL2 back in 2001 it didn't work well either, at least on my system. I used to fly European Air War for the massive battles and whenever i wanted a bit more challenge in smaller skirmishes i used IL2.

After 6-12 months and a small PC upgrade, i could fly IL2 just fine and i stayed with it for 10 years.

That's why i'm not impatient with CoD. There's a lot of features i've been waiting for in a propeller-era combat flight sim. I'll spend my time buzzing around solo and learning to fly the planes properly, in a few months i'll be able to run it well in combat scenarios and it will have my full attention.

This progression is exactly like i did it IL2, so i'm not worried.

That being said, if people want to sit this one out it's fine by me. It will also make things a bit more quiet around here

Seriously....? How is it weird that people want there money back if a product doesn't work how it should?

I mean you even stated it isn't playable for you..... that's horrible.
You are a thief of your own money if you accept a product wich doesn't work.

You are talking about "dooming the games future", but if we accept this buggy game, developers in the future will do the same over and over again.

I don't like this over the top "we support kind of attitude". It's not like the developers are doing you a favour, it's business. You should get what you paid for.

I totally understand that especially a simulation is not just a product like any other, but it should at least be playable, c'mon!

(ssry for my broken english).

I am a big fan of IL2 and I trust, that this game will be fantastic one day - indeed! But honestly, their is no excuse ever to publish a "thing" what is hardly playable. Come on guys: Would you buy a brand new car, where the seller must tell you: "Sorry, yes, the engine isn't working propper, but we promise you we will get a better engine one day...and then this car will be fantastic!" This is ridiculous! We have the right to be angry and I am sure Oleg and his team will understand this.

I don't really blame Oleg and his team. I blame Ubisoft, because my feeling is that they pushed 1C to publish now because of profit...and maybe to pay the game development. But honestly, if this was the case, maybe we should buy instead of the unfinished game treasury stocks of 1C/IL2 - this would have helped to develop the game and avoided such a big disappointment. I don't know!

Of course we will wait and we will have faith that this game will delight our next years. It will be fantastic...yes! But it was not fair to publish this game in this status of development. It's a shame! And 1C and Ubisoft expect a lot of understanding and willing to wait patiently. I hope they will thank us one day for this.

Ok guys lets have some fu..... faith and wait until it is what we were waiting for.

^ Careful with the car analogy, some people will tell you how "unfitting" and "stupid" it is...

I agree with you for the most part, though. The only thing I beg to deffer is what you said about Ubisoft. Maybe you're right and they forced Oleg and his team to release the game like this, but I can actually "understand" if they did. I mean, this game is in development for so many years by now, and if it's getting pushed back over and over again by the developer, publishers finally have it one day and then: Forced release. Not nice, but understandable, at least to me.

My thoughts exactly. Some people should accept that there's a difference between "hating" / "whining" and legit complaints.

I loved IL-2 to death and I still do, but CoD in it's current state is nothing that excuses the enourmous development time. I mean, can you guys remember the first "cloud trailer" that we got shown when 1946 was released, being told that CoD will be realeased "soon"? Now, five years later we get a product that simply wasn't ready for release yet. And I don't want to blame anyone here, not Oleg, nor 1C nor Ubisoft (I really don't like Ubi, though...). But the game is simply not working properly the way we see it right now.

Don't get me wrong, I want to like CoD. And I'm pretty sure that it can be fixed and become just as great as the original game, if they actually get the chance to fix it. But I have the bad feeling that this game will "flop". And not because it's a "niche game" (it is, of course), but because it's a bad working niche game in its' current state. I'm pretty excited to see the first reviews of gaming sites, honestly I don't think they will be a big advertisement for the game...

I really hope they'll make enough profit with CoD, but right now I can actually understand if people feel "cheated" with what we got.

And if the past means anything, faith in Oleg, Luthier, and team is and will be justified.
I bought, payed and will keep it gladly.

Sure that wasn't Yoda?

Actually Yoda would be backwards,

Without Future there will be no hope, No hope leads to no Faith, No Faith leads to Failure....
