Default Official cliffs of dover pre / post release pilot mod petition

Oleg,

Cliffs of Dover will be amazing but I would like to put in an official request that you make the pilots a bit bigger. I know you have taken precise measurements from historical photos but sometimes you just need to take a step back and see how it looks with the human eye. The scale of the pilots in the fighters is too small which interferes with how perfectly the planes have been modeled. Also, make their posture more like they are engaged in flying and not statues. Finally put oxygen masks on them as the default setting. Most of the pictures and movies I’ve seen always show the pilots wearing masks unless they are posing for pics. If this can’t be addressed pre release, then hopefully in the first official patch. Now who wants to add their names to this petition?

I get that you want these things, so does the rest of the community, but your petition crusade or "request" isnt going to change anything, they are almost gold with this game.
Maybe you should search before you post because the answer to this has been hinted, speculated and had official comments by mods a few time now.

Also, someone else noted on a different thread, that the pilots are only midgets because otherwise their heads would 'no clip' through the cockpit glas when using headtrack devices.

It was to be a temporary solution for this problem, perhaps it is fixed before going gold, or in one of the first patches.

So, Oleg beat you to it i guess.

+1 to what others said.

I would just like to add one thing: IIRC from on of the Oleg's posts way back - as far as masks go we will have the option to either put them on/off our selves. Or this will be one of the difficulty settings...

You gotta be kidding me?!

Big NoNo, They will take constructive input into consideration but don't go yelling "PETITION"... that's outright ridiculous. Love the sim the way it is already.

Wink

Before you tie me to a post and beat me with a hose....IL2 is a great game but it has a few blind spots. For me the big one is sounds...engine and guns. All along Oleg seemed to think the sounds were great and if you had a problem it was because you had an inferior sound card. No...the sounds sucked. Cliffs of Dover looks amazing...but the out of scale pilots look silly and bring down the the look of the game. It will probably be fixed but just in case, what's the harm...I might hurt Oleg's feelers? Come on. From the pics I've seen he looks like a big boy. Out.
