*still ROFL!*
Anything I ever said needed improvement would not neccesarily require a super-PC. Clouds; all that I said was a simple model tweak (flat cloud base).
Fields; improved textures and improved hedgerows.
Trees; more rounded in shape to match English trees (but this seems to have been achieved).
And there we have it. So yes, LOL, ROFL, scream with glee like a child all you want. I haven't asked for anything that can't be done with current systems.
And an eco-PC? When did I say I wasn't looking at buying another PC that's better for SoW and using this one for work? I didn't, so before you get all excited, maybe you need to be a bit more logical before jumping to conclusions.

Thanks.

Back to the actual exciting news, and not jumping on forum members in order to spur argument. It's people like you that cause topics to go tits up.

It would be nice that Oleg makes a business like Eagle Dinamics, a open beta paying it before(for the full game) ( but I wouldnt buy it because I like boxed version of Bob:sow if it is released)

-> I was looking at a PC with a similar spec. Crossed fingers it'd run the game nice and smooth with more RAM

So it's your work pc you want Sow to run smooth on?
Plus the other game pc?
Then why do you care about the first one?

To make a flat cloudbase with round primitives requires more of them --> potential performance loss.

Again, hedgerows consist of hedge objects, except if you draw them into the texture, which Oleg is not a big fan of apparently (and fortunately ).

Now I'm not against these changes - in fact I'd welcome them - but there are no free meals, and you shouldn't assume that those are "simple tweaks".

Gotta love convention rules. I have gotten screwed a few times at expos because I had to use "their" equipment or labor. Totally understood.

looking at the vids again...landscape looks much better to my eyes, the sea looks great but what caught my eye was how well the haze on the horizon looks plus the landscape seems to curve very well, blending the hills and fields very nicely.

It all looked fantastic to me, in fact the stuttering 2 gigs allowed the odd static glimpse of what the landscape really looks like.
If only there'd been more clouds for Phillip.ed...........
