Can someone please clear up about it.

Is Ubisoft the publisher or not or don't we know yet? DRM -> Keep your sh*t.
We do not entirely know for sure, but general opinion is that Ubisoft will not be the publisher this time, we still wait for confirmation by Oleg

However, after so many years, and considering that 1C has already make a sort of "official" announcement for BoB, would be nice have some more info about Ubi or not Ubi, release date ecc. ecc..

This sim seems to be more secret than Fatima.

Is going to be quite boring this. Six years of speculations are more than enough i think.

It seems lik Ubi owns the "Storm of War" internet domain. Then it is a litle bit strange if Ubi will be the publisher and the game is marketed without the "Storm og war" title. Maybe they will use "Il-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Britain" in russia, and "Storm of war: Battle of Britain" in the rest of the world? Just a thought. I really hope Ubi is not involved..

Do you really think that if this game is as close to release as Oleg makes out that we would not have seen something from Ubi by now, of course we would, there has been no mention of SOW or whatever the title maybe from UBI for years, dont listen to these guys who pretend that they are on the 'inner circle' half of them are full of shite.

1C publishing the game everywhere as "Storm of war Battle of Britain" without DRM and everybody is happy.

To play FC 2.0 you need also Lock-On by Ubisoft because Ubisoft has the copyrights for Lock-On serie.

If BoB will be IL2 Sturmovik, is clear to me that the pubblisher will be Ubisoft for the same reason. I'm wrong? Do you think that somebody else could sold a game called IL2 Sturmovik in West Europe?

...speculations off course...

Ubi didn't publish "Il2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey" for a start. It all comes down to contracts which aren't public knowledge for good reason. The situation with Lock On was different; ED had the rights to do two addons without Ubi's involvement. They wouldn't be able to release a "Lock On" product on their own, but that doesn't mean it has to be the same for Il2.

Over a year ago i posted up my conversation with james oreilly at ubisoft, they dont come much higher than him hes the group brand manager. Obviously very few on here believed me but now it seems that its finally sinking in that ubi are not the publishers.

Without some sort of capable DMR, everyone that worked hard for SOW will get robed by a bunch of teenagers that consider it an insult to pay for software, and in the end, we all are going to be robed of funds for future SOW addons.
I have many games that require some sort of connection and it didn't stop me enjoy them. I have a bunch of steam games, ROF, and all the Lock On games and i never had a problem with them.
With the fast connections this days, a game with poor DMR is doomed from the start.

I'd say let them get paid for their work.
