Insuber; I think drafting was just working with the material available. Look at the effects Il-2 shipped with. I think that even if they get the smoke effects looking unrealistic, there could be future potential for this to change in the future.

Very nice update
Thank you

about smokes , spending many hours , days , weeks over the past many years going through WWII archival footage inluding Luce after watching it for so long you will get the same conclusion , smoking plane like in the screenshot is rather rare to see out of all shot down planes in archival footage some of them pretty badly damaged including B-17's .
Ratio is more like 1 plane may get such smoke out of every 30 that were shot down as the rest will show light colors smokes , gray , whitish very and I mean very transparent smokes and many of them on fire have little visible or not at all smoke coming out of the plane .
I understand that much less smokes looks less dramatic but that's just the fact .
Tons of WWII air combat archival footage is availbale , youtube is not exactly the place to reach conclusion about shot down aircrafts .
Period .
It's WIP but it is reminding me IL-2 where you can have 10 , 20 or 30 aircrafts in the air all smoking like a factory chimneys all over the skies .
To prevent that from happening damage smokes would have to be coded with a lot of randomness and black thick huge smoke being rather rare .

Happy birth day Oleg and very nice wip screens!

By the way, i have seen real ww2 footage on discovery channel with the same fire and smoke effects as shown in the screenshots!
Especially when shot down with flak, they burn like that! Also japanese planes were more prone to catch fire then german planes probably...

Loads of american footage of zero's catching fire just like the screenshots!

Naah ... The really hard thing was to find a Klingon battle cruiser with gasoline tanks inside ...

Default Good job again!!!

Good shots.
I would like to submit some advices:
First: When the bullet hits in the water - I have looked at some WW2 footages, and I have found that after the impact of the bullet in the water: 1. Upward water geyser appears. 2. 5-6 seconds lasting concentric circle of white water appears at the place of impact. For example if the geyser is 4 meters high - the diameter of the water circle is 2 meters.

Second: I would like to see a dependence between the air speed, and the brightness of the flames of the burning fuel - High air speed = very bright flames. Low speed = orange flames. This is because of the Oxygen flow in to the flames.

Third: Because Storm Of War - Battle Of Britain will be ordered from the customers in hundred of millions copies - Oleg please issue Storm Of War - Battle Of Britain in download mode - because it is not good to pollute the environment with so much DVDs.

Good job Oleg & Happy Birth day!
Regards!
