Even with a Modern G suit you're are only extended an extra G or so... It take training and you have to work up to attempt to sustain high Gs. Plus new planes have limiters so you don't Bend the plane or the pilot.

widely used by ONE squadron..
The 339th was made of 3 squadrons: 503rd, 504th and 505th the average squadron had 12 to 14 plane, so what we're talking about is circa 60 planes (operational and non operational..). If that's not marginal use I don't know how to call it. Bear in mind that we don't have things like fatigue factor implemented in the sim (keep on pulling 4-5 Gs for 20 minutes wears you out, diminishing your tolerance).. There's really no point mate.. Anyway, I assume it's no biggie for the programmers, and if they're really implementing pilot's fatigue (I didn't know that, do u have a link to the details about it?) then it'd be cool. |
