TRK29 will host that extra 10 minute match (if it is ok with him) since we all trust him. In the case that TRK29 happens to be the person I tie with, then he and I will have to agree on whom we want to be referee.

Yes that will be fine for me to host the session.

favorite map: stalingrad, daytime, good weather

somehow i have a feeling i will be making an early exit from this tournament. there is a lot of great competitors and i haven't been flying very well lately, even with practice. oh well, this is all about having fun.

I hosted 20 minute sessions (sim mode) on this map with limited F/A yesterday and had about 8 people in each match (good times) I had a blast got to play with philabong a lot. He is good. Nice addition to VAS.
Thanks m8 - starting to get the hang of it here.
Cant wait till this thing picks up tho so we'll b able to do some "real" team battles flying along with other V.A.S. team members.

I only played a few team matches with any random wingmen; its fun n all but feels so un-coordinated, pretty much the same thing as a 1 on 1 df. Really looking forward to being someone's wingmen, executing team tactics, setting up traps, stuff like that. Maybe harder but so much more entertaining and rewarding.

After watching Edal86's video of his dogfight with Kozz, and seeing how easy he looks around (presumably on a flight stick hat switch) I feel like I'm at a serious disadvantage using the default controller layout!!

As for favourite maps... well, I'm not a fan of the winter maps, so I'd say Dover, Sicily or Berlin, dawn or dusk (it looks nicer) and preferably half decent weather
sorry to disappoint you my friend, but I dont use a stick, I use the aviator layout. This is why I recommend it to all. By having freelook on the right analog stick and the throttle and rudder on the R1,R2, L1, L2, I can compare the ease of tracking my opponents to that of using TrackIr on the PC version.

I think I mentioned earlier but to confirm:
Map: Berlin
Conditions: Good/Daytime

Also how flexible are the tournament schedules? I know it could add an infinite amount of hassle to get everyone online at the right time but I expect we all have external pressures/commitments that if ignored would make coming bottom of the league and being named and shamed a stroll in the park!

I would not worry to much about not qualifying, instead think positively. Consider that there are 20 participants and of those 20, 16 will pass (so, only 4 wont pass). Try your best (this goes to everyone) it is more likely that you will qualify to the Eliminatory Stage than not.

- Think of it like this, you have an 80% chance of qualifying, is that not a big chance or what?

* recommendation to do well are:
- practice on Aviator Layout if you are not yet using it (watch my video to see why this is advantage)
- Be sure to visit this thread regularly, so that you dont miss any matches. (I have a feeling that some will forget about checking for news and will end up forfeiting a match or two)
- Add all of the Participants and practice with them under the tournament's settings (Get used to your map, and exploit any advantage it may give)

A thought:
I know many of you are excited about Call of Duty MW2 release, I also have a copy of this game already, but, personally, I am more excited about this tournament than playing CoD MW2 (I barely have played it). CoD MW2 will always have thousands of people ready to play (night or day), you will all have PLENTY, I MEAN PLENTY of time to work on increasing your rank. Please dont forget about this competition, get into it, practice.

Dont worry.

I believe the rules are well organize and cover most problems. I think, if we all follow them, this competition will run flawless. This is why I always type "Read the First Page Regularly Because I Will Post Everything There, I Will Use It As A Bulletin Board"

Does any of you have a problem with any part of the rules??

- the reason that I divided the groups like that is so that we can all find our opponents online more easy.

i was speakin with a friend 2day and since english inst his first language, he wasnt sure about some of the rules so I offered him to translate the whole thing in french. My english isnt perfect (like no1 here already noticed lol) but I think I can make it clear enough so that evry1 of my french speakin comrades will understand (if ever more of em join). Ill post it here probably later 2nite or by tomorow afternoon.
