Ooh, don't get too excited about the Hurri. It's a decent plane, nice armament, but it's kind of outdated. Very good choice for 1940 games, but it's not that great against late-war fighters.. Try the La, very easy to fly .

Ancient is right (as always) the La 7 is a great fighter and handles extremely well...it is lacking a little on firepower though. The Spit “9” you have now is a great all around plane, it handles well, although it’s a little tricky to learn how to fly at first (bring the elevators to about 40% and work up from there) has good fire power, and you should do well in it. But of course try all the “Great Fighters” and see which one is best for your flying style...

Seraph and everyone else who disregards the hurricane are lying, they just cant handle its raw power and pure beauty....... maybe it knocked them back when they asked for a test flight lol

in all seriousness though.... only use the hurri to intercpt bombers or if the parameters are set to 1940 as seraph said. otherwise.... stick to yer spit the hurricanes butt ugly sister

Or.. you can start with checking out a certain plane description guide.
