I was flying a BF109 G-6, in a sim dogfight, against a single other person in a Spit II. Somehow, he managed to out fly me and out turn me in every single battle. I set my elevators to high sensitivity, I'd put combat flaps on, I'd try everything, but he just wound up behind me every single time. I'm given to understand that these two planes are somewhat equal, so how could he out turn me everytime? I'm not being petty, I could have him in my sights, and we would turn a circle and he would end up on my six in a matter of seconds! How is that possible?

Any Spit will outturn any 109 anyday. Sorry to say, but the 109 is not much of a T&B, so 1v1 is not a smart thing to do in it, unless you're up against an A-20.

they did tests in the early 1940s and concluded that the Spitfire could out turn the 109 while the Hurricane could out turn the spitfire.
the 109 on the other hand had a higher top speed than the spitfire at all altitudes and had a higher rate of roll. |

Fair enough. And it was originally a 3 way until one guy left cause he was losing.
