Last night was the first time I had a chance to sit down with the game and I excitedly selected the online button. All I could get was arcade (which really annoyed me) and then could only play a couple of games in a half hour of trying. The thing that really pissed me off was having to re-join after every game. Why is this? I really hope this gets fixed as this game has so much potential for incredible online enjoyment. I did have one great game though. I had a dude on my six and no matter what I did I could not shake him. I was doing immelmans, split-S's, scissors, barrel rolls, etc. and could not get rid of him. He was scoring sporatic hits during all of this and finally my bird could take no more. Although I was shot down I had a ton of fun (albeit arcade mode), and was excited to get back in the action. The connection was lost and I could not join another game again.

The horrible truth is that there will probably never be a massive online community for this game, which is a real shame. And even if there was a massive influx of new players, chances are they will be sticking to arcade.
The only way we are going to get an sim matches on a regular basis is with a bit of organisation. Connection issues aside (as there isn't much we can do about those), we should able to get a decent amount of people into matches, as most of the people on here seem to want to play sim mode (look how many members VAS has.. most of those are simmers)
Speaking of which, i'll probably try hosting a game later on sim, so if anyone feel free to drop in.
