Default Roasted Rat - too good to be true ?

** edit : it seems that i can bug the same dwarf over and over and get 7 rats and then that's it - so no real bug here I guess - yum yum - gotta love those rats

Hey guys

King's bounty has been my favorite game for a while now and I enjoy the gameplay *a lot*

I'm in Lucky's mine and i've notice I can get as many "roasted rat" as I want (i just need to bug the miners a bit)

Was it design this way so i can buy infinite amount of roasted rats ? It seems like an exploit to me and i don't want to throw the balance off!

In other words, if this wasnt design this way - i wont buy other roasted rat and move on!

Thanks for a marvelous game!
Nicolas

I personally follow a rule of "bug each miner only once."

However many rats I get out of following that rule is what I personally find to be fair and exploit-free.

But to each their own- it's not like the rats don't have their downside (leadership).

It is said, that if you take only few rats in the cavern of the pirate in Freedom Islands, even the dwarves in Taron mines, lower hadar will give you randomly these rats, where now you may get much more of them... but I have never seen the real calculation formula for this.

Im i bit bugged, i really cant find any roasted rats anywhere in my game. Anyone care to elaborate on where/from who you get them?

I see you are mentioning the taron mines, the dwarves there dont talk to me at all.
If i hold the cursor over them i get a ! mark in a bubble, but clicking on them does not do anything at all.

you get them by talking to the dwarves in Lucky James' mines, not Taron mines.

I agree with this. I repeatedly talked to the first Dwarven miner I came across until I had seven rats. You don't get a rat each time, so you have to keep talking until you get one. Once I had seven it seemed no amount of clicking would get me another.

7 rats = -350 leadership points in exchange for 14 rage and 14 mana...
