Help with making movies in COD please

I'm sorry but I have no idea of how to make a recording of tracks. When I press record I get a small box with something like "uncompressed" and which ever one I choose the actual track goes down to a near freeze. I can record a track with fraps but then it comes out wierd on uTube. Please in plain english and step by step. Also My fuel cock doesn't seem to respond to my mouse which when hovererd ove the fuel cock does change to a hand icon but doesn't turn the cock on or off. Thanks in advance for any help with these 2 problems.
