Default No sound anymore after patch and still no sound pre-patch

Hi,
I installed the patch, started the game and everything was ok until a CTD occured. I deleted the cache files. After re-starting the game with the patch the sound is gone except the launching sound of ubi-soft. The cache files were created. When i reinstalled the original version, the sound is gone too.
All other games have sound.
Any help? I don't want to install the whole game again.

I solved it myself. Alt-Tab out of the game and go into the windows sound.

Good catch. The best solutions are frequently the easiest. I seem to remember the same thing happening to me (and others). We'd go into Windows Sound Mixer and for some reason the sound slider for CoD was right down to zero. Glad you caught it.

Now if they could fix the annoying engine sound attenuation to almost nothing when checking six that would be nice.
