A whole generation of pilots learned to treasure the Spitfire for its delightful response to aerobatic manoeuvres and its handiness as a dogfighter. Iit is odd that they had continued to esteem these qualities over those of other fighters in spite of the fact that they were of only secondary importance tactically.Thus it is doubly ironic that the Spitfire’s reputation would habitually be established by reference to archaic, non-tactical criteria.

Thx for the info. Long live the WWII fps!
Sadly, there seem to be no more WWII based FPS on the market. The times of MOH and COD seems to be over

Red Orchestra 2... but I would stay far of there until they fix the gameplay (from the CoD-like current style to something similar at RO Ostfront)

This mod look very promising, unfortunately I have to purchase Arrowhead expansion to my vanilla ArmA II to get this working. Oh well, it's only 14,99 € on Steam.
