Default Background Images

On my machine all the background images that appear during the game loading screen(progress bar that moves left to right) are at night.

I believe I have seen screenshots from people where they appear during daylight.

Is there a setting or is my monitor(crt) just too dim.Every thing else seems normal.

I have added pictures to the post below.

My ones aren´t in full color as well(but it doesn´t look like night, there is rather a grey shadow over the picture), so this is probably normal.

Can you show us a screenshot?

Hi Troll2k... What screen resolution are you running? Desktop and game... I ask this because I have a 27 inch monitor and its native resolution is 1920x1080. When I run the game at that res., that splash screen looks a lot brighter... But still a grey color. When I change my desktop to .1680x 1050.. and load the game up at that res. , it looks a lot darker, like your screen shots show.

My desktop and game resolution are the same.1024x768,75hz,32 bit color.

While I think my video card(ATI HD 6850,1 gig) can handle higher resolutions I am not sure if my old 17' CRT can handle much more.

The game brightness seems fine.It is just the 2d menu stuff and loading screens that seem dark.

Low resolution causing the screen to be darker than at higher resolutions is a new one on me.Learn something new every day.

Yeah I know.. the only way I found this out was because I created a custom screen resolution with a higher refresh rate.. and that was the first thing I noticed when it loaded up.

Well I changed my game and desktop resolution to 1280x960,60z,32 bit color and there was no change.

Maybe it does not pertain to CRTs.
