Default OK, I'm dreaming, but...

I would love to see Oleg leak a tiny video showing the implementation of 6dof from the persepctives of inside both a Spitfire and a 109 cockpit. Also I wonder how true the views will be to the actual fighters? Anyone happen to know?
thanks!

The only one lucky enough to have seen this is Mystipuma, when he happened to catch Oleg Maddox and Ilya Sevchenko in a flight sim conference.

There is a video of him asking them questions and they demonstrate some of the early work on BoB (like the videos we have on the bonus 1946 DVD). At some point, Oleg Maddox displays the use of 6DOF tracking, but since the video is taken with a handycam in an environment with lots of ambient light sources, there's unfortunately not much you can see. It is still interesting nevertheless.

I hear ya Blackdog,
As you say, it is still interesting. I think a lot of people would like to see such a tidbit. If Mysticpuma saw a bit of Oleg using 6dof that implies that my small request is do-able. So I hope the power-that-be (alias one Oleg Maddox) will grin at my little post and say "why not?!" After all, Oleg and I go way back to when he was only updating a handful of people prior to the release of IL2. Yeah. Those were the days.

Would be great if the team would show up on the LowlandTigerMeeting in Germany in April. Eagle Dynamics will be at that FlightSim-LAN-Party to present their recent built of BlackShark - I can't be there, but I sure hope everybody who has the time to get there will post loads of pictures and movies from what he saw!

that sounds like a good opportunity for Oleg to feed the masses a bit of a video. the LLTM might be a good venue to show off a little bit of BoB, eh?

I think Oleg is doing absolutely the right thing. Blackout is best. I hope he keeps everything under wraps until it's all ready.

Most are still flying Il2, and while we are all very anxiously awaiting SOW - I think the less that "leaks" the less chance there is of other companies reverse engineering what 1C has put so much into over the last several years.

Additionally, I've learned over the years that our community doesn't handle new information very maturely.

At every announcement over here - some negative thread at all the other forums is bound to start - usually generated by folks who don't know squat.

I'm actually very impressed at how 1C has handled all this. Keep it up.

S~
