Default settings for radeon 6990 - switch from nvidia

all,

would be grateful for your input on what needs to be changed in the below conf.ini to be able to play il-2 - i previously had a gtx260, but got a radeon 6990 instead now. currently when i try to play, understandably, the game crashes/everything but the cockpit is black. i don't really want to re-install everything....

Try these settings, I use them with an ATI card in a laptop & get good results
Just copy & paste to conf file.

Thanks guys. Have adjusted and gotten it to run - the very last thing is to get 'perfect' water, but just cannot get it to run. when i do water=2 in the options below it crashes on entering into flight. i've been told disabling "AI catalyst" should do the job - have done so through editing the xml profile, but, still, no change.

bump... all is running fine, but i cannot get 'perfect water' using this ATI HD6990 card, which is a shame - running on Catalyst 12.1 drivers.

if anyone has had any success in getting this, either with this specific card or with any other ATI card, then I'd be very interested to hear!

ATI users can't get perfect water, the max we can get it water=2. It still looks great if you install mods that make it nicer.
