Couldn't find anything by searching but maybe I don't know what to search for exactly
![]() Is it possible to retain the cockpit but also have the aircraft indicators around the edge of the screen - either stock or via a modification? I have TrackIR but it's not something I'm able to use effectively. I've tried it over the years on many different sims but always with the same effect. It simply disorients me leaving me with worse situational awareness rather than better. Worse though, as I'm am constantly addressing other things happening around me I have to _constantly_ keep resetting the TrackIR each time I look at the screen. My lifestyle doesn't allow me to sit here and dedicate myself to solely concentrating on the game. I have to fly while doing other things (to do with real life) so sometimes a mission might be paused several times for days at a time until I can get back to it. My pause key probably gets worked harder than my trim keys. Of course, the rare occasions when I can strap myself in and fly complete missions in real time are sheer bliss ![]() I've even tried using the HOTAS mouse for panning but I have zero dexterity with my left hand so I haven't been able to make that work either. To "replicate" the situational awareness you'd expect as a pilot I have to resort to either the map icons, which gives too much extra information to be realistic, or to fly without the cockpit which really destroys any sense of immersion in the game. |
