Default i guess you cant do this i cant

read a book at 20 cm distance and try to unfocus it bet you cant:

apparently theres no agreement on how eye lens muscle work

my educated guess its we have a set of muscles which make the eye lens more curved and their antagonists which are NOT CONTROLLED COUNCIOUSLY

the main theory is that theres only a set of muscles who curve the lens and not antagonist but eye pressure making the lens flatter

so pl tell me can you when youre reading at 20 cm distance unfocus your eyes as to not seee any more the letters?

what happens to me which i hope its the same with you:

when i try to unfocus at close distance all i get is to see double,

that must be because the triad of muscle which focus the eyelens controls the size of the pupil and control the parallax of the eyes work at unsion

so its a matter of being able to contrl independent to solve any glasses problem

if you cross your eyes your making your lens close-focus

but if you diverge your eyes(you also get to see double) you get your lens into far focus mode

so i think you maybe focusing into even closer instead of farther

try reading at 5 cm distance

if youre able to get into far focus mode without diverging your eyes and see double you gotta be some kind of yogi

thats what im trying to do

before i learnt to control my eyes parallax independently, now im mastering the control of the eyes lens independent and next it will be th size of the iris

pay attention how when you look at something far and unfocus your eyes you also see darker, thats because youre contracting your pupil, the triad working in sync

sorry to bump but this seems to be such a conspiranoia it deserves another chapter

how can you explained that out of 30 people asked all had concious control of the cilliary muscles when they shoudlnt

Ciliary muscles – These muscles adjust the lens to sharpen the object we want to see. At rest, these muscles are set for distant vision. We do not have conscious control of these muscles.
