Default Should I buy CLOD now?

Reading through quite a few threads on here, it looks like its getting to a useable and enjoyable state.
Am I correct in this assumption or does the bad outweigh the good.

Have they fixed the joystick mapping etc and are the main slide show framerate issues etc sorted out now?

Thanks for any opinions in advance.

If your an online flyer and have a decent computer got for it. At this stage and despite all issues/bug I think it's worth it.

I am a pretty keen flyer and have an i5 oc'd to 4.6ghz and a decent card, so am sorely tempted to give it a crack. I have been palying DCS A-10 for a few months and wouldnt mind getting back into some old kit.

Thanks

Are the controls all sorted out now in terms of being able to map them easily etc?

Don't know if I understand your question. Regarding my personal experience I never had problems mapping keys to my controls (CH HOTAS + CH Pedals + CH Quadrant). But then again I only fly 109's, don't really know if there are problems related to other planes (e.g. bombers etc)...

Regards.

I say buy it, it does have it's issues but get into a turning fight with those shadows moving over the cockpit and you will forget all about them.

Anders- what settings are you able to run with your GTX280, and do you happen to have any video posted (I am planning to upgrade from XP and hope to see improvement in graffic and FPS with my GTX280). I can have graffics maxed over water but to get good FPS over land I have to make ground detail look like it's from the 90's version of Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 1.

I say buy it now, and if you want the development to succeed, buy it from Steam, it may be more expensive but atleast the developer might see more profit from that sale. Buying the sim cheap may be fine for you in the short term, but not healthy for the genre in the long term.

You may wish to read through my thread before purchasing, but I think you should be able to run CoD fine, especially since new patches are incoming and Luthier stated a minimum 50% FPS increase in the nearby future.
