Default Losing connection with host, reason TIMEOUT?

Can anybody help please,I keep getting lost connections with the host in multiplayer and the reason given is 'Time out'.

Being new to this online dogfighting I don't understand,my connection with the net is still connected whilst this happens. It seems to happen when Steam wants to update something like 'News'

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks guys.

Do you record tracks online by chance? Usually this is the reason for timeouts.
