I haven't really tried it out, but it seems ok. I lost an average of 1 frame per second in the Black Death track.

Very good maps, Slovakia is a work of art, something to serve as inspiration for other map builders to know how to build realistic cities in this game.

For me these new sound DLLs are not working well, the radio communication is cutting in the middle of sentences, then going mute. With 4.08m everything was perfect.

My hardware:
P4 & MB Intel D875PBZ (latest drivers)
Radeon x1950 (Cat 7.11)
Sound Blaster Audigy LS (latest drivers)
Windows XP
Sound Blaster Live! profile selected in game.

---
Thank you guys for the great work on this game and I wish you all a great 2008.

After applying 4.09bm the program wouldn’t start! Just the hourglass for 15 sec and then nothing. Thanks to cnThors ( http://by.sturmovik.de/download/DLL.zip) DLL´s is starting now but why are the DLLS in the patch overwriting the DLLs so prog wont start? Why is this just for some and not all? Does this mean that we the users of cnThors DLLs are missing out something in the patch?

Regards

Viking

Hi Evgeny.

LandGeom=3, Slovakia map, 08:00 hours, hazy weather conditions, cloud height 1000m.

There's a castle on a hill top - Letisko Velka Luka, grid 7R, which is showing strange, surreal shadows...

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.80GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Card name: ATI Technologies Inc. RADEON X850 Series

These shadows are part of IL-2 graphic engine. In the morning/evening, all objects placed on steep hills cast such shadows. Nothing to do with it.

No issues that I can see. I love it so far and the increased view distance is terrific and I experienced no loss in FPS running BD track. The new default skins are superb. Here are my PC specs for anyone interested concerning the increased view distance.

Intel Core2Duo E6400 OCd from 2.1Ghz to 2.7Ghz
ATI 2900XT
2GB PC5400 RAM
Creative X-FI
Samsung 20" Widescreen

I run the game in perfect mode at 1680x1050 with 4xAA and 4xAF with ansiotropic selected in IL2setup. Vertsync on and tripple buffering enabled.

Great stuff and a big thanks to all parties involved for their work. New maps are gorgeous!
