It's because you probably have building amount on low. The higher this setting the more Lego blocks turn into 'real' houses.

Have you tried to delete the files in cache. Maybe that will help because else I don't have clue why it doesn't work for you.

this problem that i have is only appears over London
on the other cities i have no problem but i notice that if i set the buildings amount from high to unlimited the problem is almost invisible but with a hit to fps thanks RE77ACTION for your replies Last edited by skouras; 06-25-2011 at 11:38 PM. |

I think a lot has to do with texture loading. If you fly over a smaller city you can load everything at once, but flying over London with a lot of buildings your video RAM is not enough and the textures are loaded in batches.
For example, if i use maximum detail on my older Ati 4890 1Gb, i can clearly see that even inside the cockpit sometimes the textures remain low-resolution and don't load immediately. That's because i have an older GPU with less video RAM and i also have only 3Gb of RAM, so the sim loads whatever it can first and then loads the rest in "steps". |
