Default GTX 590 and SLI

I've ordered a new rig with a GTX 590 videocard and I know it consist of 2 GTX 580's in SLI. But I wonder if it's actually SLI as one videocard?

Does it function as only videocard without SLI, which would be most preferable in relation to game compatibillity with SLI?

Does anyone know with or without a GTX 590?

NV Performance treats it as if it is 2 cards. You will see the same single or multi-gpu options as with two cards. I like the increased FPS over my prevoius 2xGTX280 in SLI and the 590 runs cooler.

It also draws less power than two GTX 580s.

I have a pair of GTX 590s. quad SLI

running only 1 core right now for CLOD and Rise of Flight (getting flickering in the latest ROF release with SLI enabled)

running high settings and getting decent frame rates. looking forward to SLI being enabled.

Don't think it is a matter of "HOW".

Think it's more of . Thats what the program reverts to? Untill nVidea release drivers and Devs allow SLI.

That is what you have.

You are stuck between Dual core cards and 2X Vram cards.

You chose the former

2x3GB 580 cards would have been "The way to go".

Supposing they get SLI sorted. Garummpphhh!

Time to revisit this matter. Anyone using a pair of GeForce GTX580 or a single 590 with 3 monitors? Please let the forum know what the situation is today.
