Yeah, myself and quite a few others see those if they run AF setting slower than 8X.

Eco,
Do you mean setting FSAA to 8x in the game's video options menu, or do you mean setting AF to 8x in the Catalyst Control Centre? I ask because I'm about to install a 6970 myself. Cheers, Nick PS - nice to see you back posting about flight sims, I remember you making excellent contributions to the RoF forums in their early days. |

OK - here are some odd looking things with a 6970 card and Cat 11.3 drivers. Before this I had an Nvidia GTX285 which did not have any of these aretfacts.
Bright blue line on the horizon: ![]() Distant horizon is very sharp - not blurred, even beyond the land which is correctly faded out 9this is clearer at full size): ![]() Black lines on the beach and cliffs: ![]() |

If using Win7 try turning off the aero theme in both the control panel and the game executable; cured all these black lines for me.

I'm guessing the developers didn't have an ATi card when they developed the sim. Lots of annoying artefacts with ATi stuff, none with Nvidia.

![]() I'm using XP (dx9). Haven't tried this yet but is it confirmed best solution to date is to turn ground shadows to low? edit: D'Oh!...and Nvidia GTX260 with latest driver. Last edited by Col.Flanders; 05-22-2011 at 10:02 PM. |
