Default Naval Warships

I notice it has been asked before but I cannot find an answer to this.

Where are they? One is somewhat concerned as I actually cannot recall seeing any images from Oleg on these at all...or maybe that's just me?

Anyone have an answer?

I vaguely remember reading a post from Oleg a few years ago where he said it took some silly amount of time to make a warship for COD, of the top of my head it was 6-12 months, so it was probarly put pretty low on the list.

They will be made by 3rd party navy fans as soon as SDK is available and they will be "drivable". Not sure about drivable submarines yet though.

This is a flight simulator after all.

I recall seeing pics of Royal Navy destroyer some time (year+) ago in one of the dev updates.

Don't know what happened to it.

Maybe another item not finished?

Combat flight sim actually. Combat being the operative word here. We have ground targets and yet no ships. So you last point is moot.

As for SDK I don't believe that for a second. Please show me clearly where it states that ships are 3rd party only? You are guessing.

Post made by Oleg last year.

Ships: Depending upon size individual parts (masts, cannons) have their own damage models, which extend under water (to screws etc.).
@esmiol: Your answer makes complete sense!

No ships means a big part of the Battle can not be simulated. None of the Luftwaffe convoy assaults and none of the Blenheim anti shipping strikes. Bad show.
