Default Repeated Save Corruption?

Hey all,
A friend of mine is having serious problems with the game. Every few weeks their il-2 game data is erased, and they get put back to the start of the games missions, with only the starter planes. Deleting the game data from the hard drive doesnt fix this, and it's getting annoying!Anyone had this problem before, and if so, how did you fix it?

Is he xbox or ps3? From what I hear, it's easy to accidentally overwrite your save file on the xbox version. Other than that, the HD that he is making his game saves might have gone bad. Maybe suggest saving to a different device.

It's on ps3, and it only corrupts the il-2 save, nothing else. They even used another il-2 disc and it didn't help. I'll recommend using some sort of backup for it. Thanks for the advice.
