I came back to IL21946.
I see new patch is out. How to make all planes flyable with the new 4.10 patch, just like with the 4.08? |

I would like a flyable 110 C for my malta campaing .. G is much too powerful .. hmmm. a HS129 is historically correct so ..
![]() PS, I'm finding my CANTs close to useless, motobomba no good against carriers and bomb load too small for same. Using sparrowhawks with torpedos is suicide as they fly right up to the carrier before releasing, needless to say very few survive. The only gem against carriers I've found are stukas. Is that historically correct? He111. |

Carriers are very tough to sink. The attacks were carried in force, and the chance of survival was very little for conventional torpedo attacks. Dive bombing i think was the way to attack with a higher chance of survival.
So in this matter, the sim is historically correct. It's a shame though that

If you want to stage the sinking of a carrier in your mission try using a submarine. They can be set up to come active at a certain time and be de-activated afterwards. This is probably more authentic too as far as sinking carriers in the Med is concerned. If you use the sub in combination with the air attacks you should see the effect you're looking for.
