Default Question for spitfire23..

Noticed you had in your sig (like a few others that have popped up recently) a new squadron badge etc for a PS3 squadron im guessing?

Noticed yours was 617 squadron who were famous for the dambusters raid. Just wondering what the P40 signifies as they never used them, all they used was lancs during the war with tallboys, grand slams, bouncing bombs (yo get the pic lol).

Anyway my question is...

whats the P40 for?

you preffered plane of choice from WW2? or just something you like?

Cheers mate

your P40 in sig btw looks excellent. North africa theatre? with the british marking on it and shark teeth you could almost mistake it for hat of neville duke lol but obviously not because of no squadron markings.

Neville duke was a great pilot in the kittyhawk, he was the allies top flying ace in the med theatre.

No problem. Pitty your a 360 guy. From the sound of it the PS3 is much more fun and i filled a 10player SIM dogfight today. If you did switch then i would dust off the old hurricane (Have had some compliments on how i fly it )

You heard wrong then . Even without the patch the game is no less fun than it is on PS3, And there were load online Saturday. Scotty Anderson hosted sim games with 14 people, too bad the game can't handle that many without huge lag (and lag crashing). But then thats no different on PS3.

Everyone here gets a biased view because there are now much fewer 360 guys on here than PS3. Mainly I think because you can't view this forum on a 360.

Yes, they are the sigantures for a little tournament that I am organizing. Check it out if your like (rules and other info is on the first page of the thread titled "Battle for Europe"). Subarugaz's original design included a lancaster, as you mentioned. Only reason for the change to a P-40 was that it made the signature look better (that is what I read)

P.S. I remember playing with you when I had the Xbox 360 for a week. You are a very good player, I would be happy to have you in the tournament if you can get your hands on a PS3 (they are only $220 on ebay now (free S&H). That is where I got mine, had it for 2 years and no problems.

Yeah Like Edal said it was a picture of a lancaster before but it just didn't look right. And i felt it would be a nice little way for a tribute to the dambusters, The P-40 from the african theatre just looked nice
