Default My opinion about the new DLC

Okay, last night i took hold of the new DLC for game, was really looking for it and i wasen't dissapointed with its content. allthough, I have 1 litle complaint....

It's about the new HA-152H. Now. i never heared about this vehicle and I remember seeing an inmage when i was 6, but that was it.

I checked the missions wich are located in Single missions, and I came to this statement...

What.Were.They.Thinking?!!
No really. what!?

the Ha-152 looks to me a Mix between a ME-109 and a FW-190. Both excellent aircraft and thus fantastic to have as a single seat fighter.
It has the Long Nose of the Me 109, the Engine of the FW and the Manouvrabillity of the Moon!
I got shot down with the bloody damn thing from the rear gunner of a A20 Havoc and that was just flying straight! It cant Turn, It's Guns are Off by a Mile and when you got a fighter on your A** you got shot down as fast before you count to 2! It's equiped with 3 Cannons and that has to make an inpact. bun no.
It has MAssive wings, wich give me the inpression it might be a High altitude Fighter, but if you cant yaw to the left or right of pretty much anything a fighter plane must do then it is Useless.

it has no availabe cago load to use in a mission, wich give it a 100% fighter?
Sorry, I dont like it? It does has however, a cool skin on it. a Russian winter camo with green markers.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, the P-47 Thunderbolt. Before i get started, i'd like to point out that the only game with a Thunderbolt wich i played was Blazing PLanes: squadron of ww2 and in that game it was pretty good. not as a good as a 'stang, but nevertheless? decent.

In this game however, I noticed 3 or 4 things wich i dident liked? those were:

1) It's Weight. It's allmost as you have to carry a Sumo wrestler everywere you go!
( no offense to them.)
You easly get out-chashed by a ME, it has that draw back that you have to life with.
2) Then its Guns. As standerd by the US fighters of that era, it has in this case 8 .50 Calibers Machine guns better be knows as Ma Duce but the Guns compared the the P 51 Mustangs Model ''D'' is shorter? or as it seems to me?

3) The second largest problem with the Plane is however it's stabillity? you cant manouver as fast as a spitfire diveing to the Ground and get a kill at small height and pull up again? you cant. it too heavy to do so. I flew Pretty much all the time on WEP to get closer to the target and score a kill?

it is however FANTASTIC on making that Lufwaffe's Pilot regred that he took off? if you get a PLane in you sights in the cockpit ( wich is excellent) you simply has to squeeze and you see it go down?

it isent all complaint about the Thunderbolt? oh,no. Check out it's cargoload all you'll love it! you can select from the standerd 8 Machine guns, MG's plus 2 250 Pounder Bombs and 1 single 100 Pound Bomb,or MG's plus 2 250 Pounder Bombs and 1 single 100 Pound Bomb, and 10 HVAR ground attack Rockets with an awesome sound and explosion to it!

With other Words: the P-47 thunderbold is not a Fighter plane in this game in my eyes, but it is the Best Ground attack aircraft this game currently can offer you!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

DISCLAIMER: this is my very own opinion an what the new DLC has to offer.

I got a little gripe, even though it may, or may not be legitimate.

I had the P-47 before from the pre-order perk. But, I got the new download anyway, just for the SP missions. Even though the P-47 isn't the best and most nimble bird out there, it was (for me at least) fun to fly, and has always been one of my favorite WWII warbirds. I loved to use it as a dive bomber, which it did very well, even though I had to wrestle it back up out of a dive like a mad fat chic. But, I loved it..

BUT.. It seems, (it may be my imagination though) the P-47 doesn't fly as well as it did now that I downloaded the package. It seemed to fly better when I had it with the pre order. In the download, did it change some charictoristic files for the P-47? Or is it my imagination?

And to the guy that can't seem to get any speed from it, I get over 400mph from the P-47 in level flight on a regular basis. That is respectible...

The TA-152 is a joke, the 3 "cannons" are like shooting a .22 at an enemy plane.

The P-47 is definatly not my cup of tea, but I never expected it to be.

At least I have some new missions to play.

the ta-152 was meant to be a high-altitude bomber-interceptor, so if you try to dogfight at low altitude and get shot down, it's your own fault. IMO they gave the ta and fw series full fuel tanks like the p-51d, so its possible that they could be fixed with a patch.

I was attacking a Blenheim in training with the 152, the cannon had very little affect.

I did the same thing with the P-47 and got it down with one quick pass.

Is that after a dive? Arcade, realistic, sim? What altitude? You sure you're using MPH and not KPH? I have to dive to get that bucket above 3 bills - which is flat out wrong. I think the flight model is AFU. They should add that to the list of shit to fix. Did they accidentally copy that over with all fuel tanks full?

I'd love to fly a P-47 that was respectably represented, but it seems like all its got going for it in game is durability and firepower (of course, what good is the firepower if your target is always behind you?).

Didn't the Ta-152, actually have a Jumo 213E bomber engine in it? Think I read that somewhere in a book? Maybe on a show?

I took it out just to see what it would do a couple times when I first downloaded it a couple weeks ago, and that was on a straight level flight, not after a dive. That was however if full WEP though. As far as mode, I have not taken that out in SIM at all yet, but do fly regularly in both Archade, and Realistic (preferably realistic). I can't remember what I was in when I was clocking it though, but it was probably realistic since that is what I try to fly mostly in. I have had the game set in MPH since day one.. I will take it out next time I log on to do a better speed check. I was just playing around with it when I checked the first time. It was fast though, outrunning most other fighters that got the six on me. That is when I started doing a hit and run approach with it. I dove on the enemy, shot, then turn tail and hauled butt out and set up for another attack... I suck at targeting dogfights, so I don't want to blame the bird quite yet. But, I think with a good dog fighting pilot, using the hit and run tactic, should be able to do pretty fair with it..
