What counts as a 'bomber' in strike?
Since I have already unlocked the B17, (by flying bona-fide bombers and winning 50 games), I am putting this question for the benefit of my gaming buddies who do not relish being a big target (cowards
 ) and can't seem to get the hang of using the defensive armament, preferring to whizz around in Stuka's..As far as I can gather, simply having a plane that can drop a bomb or two does not count..  Whilst I'm on the subject, wtf is it with everyone choosing fighters in games of strike?  - I know that it's a cheap way of racking up some (easier) kills - but surely, helping your team get a win is just as important?

Cheers chaps.
I simply find it frustrating how so many people are going for the unlocks without paying attention to the composition of their teams (it's not unusual to find whole teams made up of fighters) Which, whilst it makes for some easy wins, seems not to reflect the spirit of the game. I'm also of the belief that having optional spawn points (spread along the start line) in games of strike would help discourage cheesy spawn campers. but that's another topic entirely..

The Ju87 is the stuka, and yes, it is a Bomber class plane. It is considered a dive bomber, or sometimes a "fighter/bomber". And yes, simply being on the winning team gets you the credit torwards your school bus. Which brings up another point. Most the time, I hide my B-17, until just before the timer starts the game. It irritates the hell out of me, so see people that are not normally on my team, as soon as they see the B-17, they jump on my team. It isn't that I mind someone I dont know on my team, but, they do it, even when it makes the team unfair, say 4 against 1. They do it, simply just to get a gaureteed win. Sometimes, It makes me want to throw the match or not drop a single bomb just out of spite.

i'm pretty sure the il-2 is a bomber since it appears as a triangle, but then again it's taking a suspiciously long time to unlock the b-17. i've allready gotten the trophy for winning 50 strike games, but 10 of those were in a 109 (to unlock he-111 h3), but i got tired of using heavy bombers so i'm using the il-2 (not the il-2m, just single seat il-2, to avoid confusion) but i still haven't gotten the b-17. so either i'm on the verge of getting it, or the il-2 somehow isn't a bomber, or maybe i'm just losing my mind from playing toooo many strike games......
