Default Am I Biased with planes?

I was discussing with Pubestein13, about whether or not I was biased about Soviet aircraft, and I wanted to get all your opinions. When I talk about Soviet planes, do you all think I give your good information? Something for you all to think about, and try when flying the Soviet planes in BoP, or do I shove my information down your throats, and disagree with anyone who says other wise?

Incase some don't know, (Pubestein13) here is a definition of Bias I got from the dictionary.

bias |ˈbīəs|
noun
1 prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair : there was evidence of bias against foreign applicants | the bias toward younger people in recruitment | [in sing. ] a systematic bias in favor of the powerful.
• [in sing. ] a concentration on or interest in one particular area or subject : he worked on a variety of Greek topics, with a discernible bias toward philosophy.
• Statistics a systematic distortion of a statistical result due to a factor not allowed for in its derivation.
2 an edge cut obliquely across the grain of a fabric.
3 in some sports, such as lawn bowling, the irregular shape given to a ball.
• the oblique course that such a shape causes a ball to run.
4 Electronics a steady voltage, magnetic field, or other factor applied to an electronic system or device to cause it to operate over a predetermined range.

I honestly believe the information you give out is helpful and great, but I do believe you have a "SLIGHT" bias towards the Russian planes... So I can't vote unless you add a "kinda bias" option =P

Nah, you make helpful and informative posts all the time, but I don't see you bashing other planes. But who am I to say I haven't been here that long... lol

Hey, I voted yes, but is that really a bad thing? We're all biased to some extent. Look at all the posts about fixing the P-51. I think we like what we like, and that's perfectly normal. As for "shoving information down peoples throats" no way man, If you really love something and you see people talking out their arse about it, well, you're gonna speak up, it's human nature. So keep it up, I've found your information to be pretty much spot on, and I for on e enjoy finding out things I didn't know. By the way thanks for answering my question on another thread.

I actually think you're biased, but only by your unwavering love for Soviet aircraft. I've witnessed others try to tell you why they personally feel a different airplane is better and you will leverage your extensive knowledge to try to prove them wrong (or justify your belief that Soviet aircraft are superior).

Frankly, I love that you post here... and the information you share has taught me A LOT. I don't think you should change your ways because I enjoy your passion for these planes (it has also opened my eyes to the strengths of the Soviet designs).

Oh, I didn't vote... I just posted. LOL!

Of course you're biased but who gives a shit? I have learned 90% of my knowledge on Soviet aircraft from you so keep it coming. I do have issues with the way some planes are represented in the game (ME262 is too slow, the fw190 should be more stable, same for the P51 etc etc) but this has nothing to do with you. But yeah I think some Soviet aircraft are a little too good but again I am very biased towards german machines and I don't feel bad about it.

Only good in the right hands

its the pilot that makes the plane. A good pilot flying a 109 could comfortably take down any of the ruski planes. You know your planes strong points and the enemies weak spots then your already on to a winner

Were flying in the era where its the man not the machine. Though.... stay away from the P51 and the FW190 for the time being hahahahaha

I completely agree which is a big reason this era fasinates me! I just feel that there is a slight bias towards the performance of the Soviet aircraft vs reality. Not much, but just a little, I could always be wrong. I came from below and behind on an il2 in a 109F4 the other day in Realistic and pumped a point blank 3-4 second burst right into the heart of the fuselage with visble gun and cannon hits numbering likely in the hundreds and literally nothing happened except a very faint smoke trail, I peeled off and went after something else. To be honest I completely avoid il2's when I see them. Don't get me wrong I like a challenge but this has happened enough that I can't be bothered anymore. One of the worst intances came when I got out turned one whilst piloting a Spit!!! Give me a break.

This is one small part I dont like overall this game is incredible.
