Hi all,
I've come across an amazing project in which a historian is using twitter to make daily reports of events during WWII as they unfolded. He has started this on 31st August with what happened on that day in 1939 and wants to keep this going for the next 6 years. In my own experience this gives a different insight on history, as you witness history more in the making than purely with hindsight.
Already more than 800 tweets, plus links to pictures, speeches, newsreels. Took me two days to catch up with it from the beginning.
Highly recommended for all who are interested in WWII history.
