Default JSGME FXAA and SMAA utils

Hey gang

I used JSGME to install and un-install the current crop of SMAA and FXAA utilities.

To install it copy the JSGME.zip file into the CoD root directory

The default root directory is as follows

Code:
32bit -> C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover
64bit -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover
Note this is the game install directory, not the USER directory

Right mouse click on the JSGME.zip file from the 7-Zip menu select the "Extract Here" option, which will extract the files and folders into the CoD root directory.

If you extracted the files correctly you should find the following files and folders in the root (\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\) directory

Code:
\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\JSGME.exe
\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\JSGME.ini
\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\jsgmemods\
Note the 'jsgmemods' folder contains the utilities folders listed below

Code:
FXAA PPI v37 for DX-9
FXAA PPI v37 for DX-10
FXAA Tool Hg v4.0 for DX-9
injectFXAA by some dude v9.0 for DX-09
injectFXAA by some dude v9.0 for DX-10
injectFXAA by some dude v10.0 for DX-09
injectFXAA by some dude v10.0 for DX-10
injectSMAA by mrhaandi v1.2 for DX-09
injectSMAA by mrhaandi v1.2 for DX-10
injectSMAA by mrhaandi v1.2 for DX-10 - Buchon
To install and/or un-install the utilities run the JSGME.exe which will display a menu with the above util folders listed, click on the util you want to use and than use the JSGME arrow keys to install (move left to right) or uninstall (move right to left) the util. I recomend you only install ONE util at a time, due to some of the file names are the same. Also, if you allready have one of these utils 'manually' installed, I recomend you save your settings (*.h) file and 'manually' un-install them before installing JSGME, reason being if JSGME sees the files allready installed it will prompt you and ask if you want to over write the files. Problem is when you un-intall a util via JSGME it will put back (restore) those 'manually' installed files, thus you truly never really un-install the 'manually' installed files.

This works very well for me.. I was using 8X AA and I turned the game AA off and use the MSAA and I saw no FPS drop relatively speaking.. I would suggest it to anyone.

I D/L'd and installed JGSME last night.

Works a treat.
I set all my Nvidia (where possible) to application controlled and ran the Bouchon Dx 10 modset. Got a good FPS increase as a result and no problems using this online.

Thanks.

Before everyone starts firing off "is the SMAA injector VAC compatible, or will I get VAC banned" type questions. Please read the "Can Subpixel Morphological Anti-Aliasing be whitelisted?" thread at steam HERE

I tried all the injects mods and i´ll stick with SMAA (mrhaandi 1.2) definitely, it dont blur everything and dont mess textures as FXAA "some dude" version, also does a better job on trees than the FXAA PPI modification :

I made a configuration adapted to CLOD which unleash a upper level of quality and have no performance hit, also don't blur textures and is better in trees and distant objects.

This is done because this files have enabled "SMAA Predication" a Killzone development team technique that preserve textures detail and improves the performance, letting you increase the quality.

So this is more sharp than FXAA (dont mess text and textures) and does a high quality AA without performance hit.

Here are the files if you want try, just put the files in your il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover folder :

S! I took your config files and added them to the JSGME zip (v2.4) above..

The new JSGME folder is called injectSMAA by mrhaandi v1.2 for DX-10 - Buchon

Which contains your settings for injectSMAA by mrhaandi v1.2 for DX-10

Enjoy

I just tried this SMAA AA fix and I gotta say I much prefer it to the FXAA one, definitely seems sharper without bluring the text and GUI, and no performance hit that I can tell.
Fantastic stuff, thanks for the heads up on it Buchon ~S~
