Default First mission in Sicily "first steps" trouble with oil temp

has anyone had problems with this mission and their spitfire's oil temperature going straight to 100 steadily i cant finish fighting the italian planes with out my engine cuting off and i dont think the flak got my engine.... anyone have anysuggestions im playing it on sim mode

I've done that mission in sim and realistic and never had an engine problem. You're not holding on WEP continually are you, as other than being shot in the engine there is no reason why that should happen to you.

no wasnt using wep, my gueage mesured at like 90 then 100, im on next mission and it still goes up to 100 but doent stall on it as it did on first mission

Try getting up higher earlier on in the mission and then using the height advantage to then dive past the fighters and lead them back to the flag. Then if you engine does pack up you at least can try and glide some of the way.

keep power at around 90% so the needle on the boost gauge is just below the red mark
