How do I get the ‘Magic Orb’?

I’ve done the quests in Seaville and spoken to the ‘Merchants Guild Master’ in Hillborough. All I have is ‘End Conversation’. I believe he has the ‘Magic Orb’ How do I get it?

Can any one help?

I got it from him right before he granted me passage into the building behind him. There were two conversation paths to take. I recall wanting to say one thing, but he didn't give it to me if I did, so I reloaded and took the other conversation path. I was worried that I'd never get if I didn't. Surely that's not the case though. Sorry I can't remember specifics. It's been a while.

Correction, I think I may have gotten it from the guy that was standing in the doorway.

I was wrong again. I got it from the merchant guild bursar after I had done everything the master wanted.
