Default Just what you level bombers need!

Hi all,

Keller started a project to help with adjusting the LOTFE 7 bombsite (He-111) on the fly. And then Colander turned around and made it an interactive bomb sight calculator with the channel map built into it lol. Some of these folks never cease to amaze me

Basically with the click of a mouse button you move to a position on the map to set both your take off altitude and your target altitude. These altitude settings are both measured and input for you by clicking on take off and target locations. Add in your speed and viola you have a direct setting for your bombsite that will assure you of a good target hit.

Basically get your arses up there and start level bombing!!

I think this utility would be perfect for a second monitor or some sort of tablet as well.

Here's a link: http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/utils/lotfe7.html

And here's some screen shots of the utility and of the interactive map portion.

As always, feedback is welcomed!

Dutch brought up a good point about this on our forums. This could also be used to set all your RAF altimeters before take off as this utility will give you exact elevation at the exact spot you click in the interactive map.

Expect an imperial conversion block in the near future just for that purpose.

Clever piece of kit.

How do you extract the elevation data from the map for the utility for areas outside airfields etc .... like a target on a hilltop ?

Ref setting up altimeters you can use the pdf in the attached zip. All airfield elevations extracted from FMB

Hi Ivank - as far as the extracting bit, one word - Colander So yeah, I have no idea. It's similar to the our interactive server commander he built. Have no idea how he does it.
