You need to at least double the amount of ram you are running.

When I upgraded to Win7-64 I upped my ram to 6 Gigs.

Until we start to see use of DX11 that card should be fine.

Is it my age? I don't understand why deliberately misspelling words is fashionable. Is it some post-ironic statement about institutions? I really don't understand why people go out of their way to do it.

That videocard will put down in the minimum spec area. I have a GTX 260 and have a hard time getting good frames on "medium" settings with some of the new games coming out. On top of that your DDR2 RAM is going to need some upgrading soon. Only bad part about that is you have to upgrade the motherboard to support DDR3 RAM. But some good DDR2 1066 with 5-5-5-15 timings should be alright. Go with a 2 x 2gb configuration instead of 4 x 1GB for best results. But your CPU will be great, keep it.

Imo DDR2 to DDR3, even a triple channel DDR3 setup, is mariginal compared to the GPU/CPU. Just aslong as you have enough of it for the game to fit in. Changin a motherboard just to replace the ram would be a waste. If you do it you better swap the rest of the gear also for better.

Best bet would be to upgrade to that ddr2 to 4gb and then think about a new GPU after the release, when we know more about CoD performance.

+1
Up the ram to 2 X 2 GB and see how it runs with your card.
