That is very nice indeed. I seriously doubt that Maddox Games has the manpower to devote to such detail though. The aircraft and such will be probably be a lot better, but that level of detail on scores of WW2 airfields... no chance.

Well, it's just something to ponder (for all of three seconds) while we await the new SoW updates. They gotta be just around the corner, on the other side of the airfield.

That was impressive. It would be interesting to see the ground detail away from the airfield. The low level ground detail away from the airfields in my copy of FSX sucked big time.

I believe that SOW's overall level of detail will be better as it will be consistent over a smaller map. FSX low level detail has been conscentrated only at the airfields, atleast in my addon free copy. Which is probably fine for FSX type scenarios where your generally only flying low near airfields. I suppose you could say that for BOB scenarios aswell but I enjoy low level exporing. FSX does poor coastlines and rivers while SOW will even have elevated river banks which will make a very noticeable difference in the overall look of the terrain.

I hope so too. But I'm reflective of the fact that it's been in development for a while now. That could mean a lot of things or how Sow will look. Meanwhile let's enjoy the exquisite anxiety of wait, and waiting...and waiting...and waiting...
