Default Picking out ground targets?

Firstly have to say great game and great community here. Been a flight game fan for years, mostly play Over G on the 360.

So to BOP, love it on SiM mode but like others have said the P-51 is tough to keep in cheq.

My main problem is picking out the ground targets, i just cant see them at all and even if i do manage to spot one at 200+mph there is no time to adjust and get a shot off! So what are people doing?

Also slight control issues, would much rather have the yaw on the trigger buttons and throttle control on the shoulders! this would leave to right stick free to look around quickly without having to click and then worry about changing throttle or yawing by mistake during a turn.

I think the consensus is really that to get the best out of this game you'll need a flightstick. I'm finding myself battling the pad as much as the enemies at the moment.

Yeah if you want to play on sim you're really going to need a flight stick, mostly for the free look.

Yeah you can pick up the aviator now for £29.99 which will tide you over till something better comes out. Its a great stick and IMO is pretty much on par with the ace in quality terms...however neither is worth more then £40 so dont pay over the odds.

Bottom line.... any stick is a huge improvement over the game pad. Hopefully with a couple of new flight titles out some other company will produce a superior stick to the current offerings.

After using both the aviator is the way to go IMO. The ace may have better throttle control but the extra cost is definitely not even close to worth it, I'm just looking at both as a stop gap and for that reason the aviator is the better choice for me...I also found stick movement more precise on aviator - although I only got to try a second hand ace.

That's good to hear but it's a pretty moot point for me anyway as there are none of the Hori ones available to me for even remotely sensible money.

Is there a certain elevation you have to drop to before you can see the muzzle flashes? Seems like they don't show up above a couple thousand feet.
