BMRender\rmode crash in Marshan swamp

Whenever I try to go into the undead part of the Marshan swamp, the game crashes with "BMRender\rmode.cpp(5424) DirectX call failed -1,-1.

I'm playing the game for the second time. I completed it fine before. I've had to change my graphics card (Was inno3D 8800 GTS, now XfX 8800GT) due to the old one dying.

I've used driver sweeper to remove my old NVidia drivers and installed latest ones (185.85). Still crashed in the same place.

I've got Vista 64bit.

Can't see a solution on any pages here.

I bought KB from Gamer's Gate. I've tried installing the 1.7 patch from GG but it fails with "Unknown Error". (Perhaps because I installed it before?)

Any help would be great.
