So in all this Russian ( in previous post...) is there any mention of release date? I know I'm being a little crazy to believe it might be pinned down...

Thumbs up

Hope this works here is the interview that accompanied those photos.

Just look for Oleg's picture it is a two page article. I don't know if the below links will fully translate and render the page for everyone.

It's worth a try, because the information is interesting.

If that 'surf' video is from the SoW engine, I'll be spending all my time at 0 feet over the channel, just to look at the waves!

I guess it will make ditching a tad more complicated than on our flat IL2 ocean!

Also the section that he talks about adapting the engine for the likes of a submarine or PT boat sim. A mosquito boat sim, properly done would be a hoot, as long as you had a decent destroyers and armoured barges for balance. (Of course you'ld need the option of an Oldsmobile cannon salvaged from the wreck of a P39 to beef her up a bit !) )

So, is this our update, given in a round-a-bout way?

As the 60% is in terms of features implemented, not the overall progress, it sounds like some interesting time ahead. As Oleg posted before: Once the engine is complete, things will get faster and updates more frequently.

Looking forward to that SimHQ-interview!
