Unhappy What I would like to have from 1C

A Developer diary for SoW, like this one:

http://www.hoi3.com/index.php?option...iary&Itemid=62

It's made using joomla.. not a great effort from the developer himself.

Better than posting news in a forum, isn't it?

A whole generation of pilots learned to treasure the Spitfire for its delightful response to aerobatic manoeuvres and its handiness as a dogfighter. Iit is odd that they had continued to esteem these qualities over those of other fighters in spite of the fact that they were of only secondary importance tactically. Thus it is doubly ironic that the Spitfire’s reputation would habitually be established by reference to archaic, non-tactical criteria.

Who said it's a question of time? And no, not better IMHO. Just different.

But let's think a moment about what you'd like to have:

HoI III was officially announced on August 20th, 2008, the first Dev-Blog corresponds with the first concrete info released on October 16th, 2008.

SoW was not officially announced yet. That would mean we have a complete silence for maybe another year, the few updates would stop, no renders, no info-posts, no Q&A. And then, maybe next year, a short announcement from UBI and another 3 month until we hear an official word from Oleg.

No, thanks. Please choose a better example, if you really want to wish for something.

Who cares about how news are published, if there aren't any news?!

Mhm..

On a side we have a single thread made of 187 pages where a new guy has to find out the news... Forgottenfighter did a nice thing opening the new thread.

On joomla we have organized sections.

Again here we have pictures links (many with not really informative names... "vvv-03_01.jpg")

Instead in joomla there is a gallery (http://www.hoi3.com/index.php?option...ry=1&Itemid=61)

Anyway, is not true that there are no news... news exist, but you need to find them on another sources...

Well, if that was your Idea, I agree with you.

Though honestly, the thing you see in the blog is the same you see in Oleg's thread. The Q&As in the forums and different threads are simply a bonus. You will find the same for HoI if you know where to look for.

I wouldn't really call Oleg's thread questions and answers, it's just questions!

Well, it was announced as an IL2-Addon in 2006, so I doubt that counts

SoW was never announced to be a Il-2 add on.

It was announced as a sequel that time, based on the IL2 engine. A standalone release, but an addon for the old engine.
