Need tips

Could someone give me tips for a mage? I'm trying to beat the undead castle "Enema" and defeat the orc castle's brother, I get owned by both. I'm lvl 11

I am at Impossible Lvl 11 and will avoid going after them as they are too expensive to fight (heavy losses).

Likely that I will float around Kordar and built up my leadership plus another 1 - 2 point of destroyer and then I will return
