Quests bugged and more

Hi all.

I ran into some ugly and unexpected problems while exploring the Freedom Islands.
Short history: Greenwort and the four starting islands are cleaned up, both Freedom Islands 90% (left Dead Man's Chest on Eastern, Hagyr's Castle on Western + all pirate ships on both islands).

The first problem - which may or may not be related to the second one - came up with the Feast of Spirits quest (given by the Orc shaman Sha Hong; Ay Vaz' quest was already active). I activated the totems, then postponed fighting him in order to level up. Upon returning to the Western island, I found one last enemy which I had forgotten about and promptly engaged him. After the win, two loading screens came in quick succession and I found myself in the dungeon of Castle Sha Hong. I defeated all enemies there, including the shaman, which completed his Feast of Spirits quest.
The second problem appeared while tackling Ay Vaz's Masterpiece quest. After defeating all three pirates (with no update on the quest journal), at the end of the third battle, the two loading screens again came up and again I was transported to said dungeon, only this time around with the boat included and a completely black world map (see attached screen). After moving, the ship vanished and the map went back to normal; upon returning to the surface, the ship was gone for good. If need be I can also provide the save (unfortunately, I have none before speaking to Sha Hong after activating the totems).
It seems that now I can't complete Ay Vaz' Masterpiece: no matter the order of the battles with the three pirate ships, the quest doesn't update itself, the log still saying I have to defeat the first pirate.
So any ideas here, maybe even advancing said quest to complete via console or other PC-specific methods ?

One more thing: right before the giant spider battle, I used the Wanderer spell Dragon of Chaos. I've had since then the dragon present and usable in each and every other battle I fought - pretty sure this is a huge bug.

I have the same problem with Ay Vaz's masterpiece quest. Killed all 3 of them, no update.

By the way the pirates ships around the islands are quest related?? or can i kill them at will??

Is there any quest for dead man's chest?

I don't know. I killed the deadman's chest and got nothing but a lot of xp.

As far as I know, if pirates around an island are quest-related, the quest giver is on that island. So I'm assuming the pirates from Eastern island are not quest-related. There is one pirate on Western (usually near the fast travel delivery point), significantly weaker than those associated to to Ay Vaz's quest, who's a quest giver, with two outcomes. I haven't noticed what the quest reward is (think it may be a Wanderer scroll, but I'm not sure). Also there was a pirate ship around the fourth Viking island (the one with giant spider) that seemed to be there just for XP.

No quest for the Dead Man's Chest, just a very difficult battle similar to those involved when ugrading an item. XP points should be a reward in itself on this one .

where can i find the totem in feast of spirits quest, the one thats supposed to be near barbarians camp on eastern islands? i found 2 similar to those on graveyard but they wont activate

would appreaciate help, cheers
